MSDS是有标准的，比如欧盟是REACH指令1907/2006指令及结合CLP法规的SDS。中国是GB/T 16483-2008标准下的SDS，中文全称叫化学品安全技术说明书。目前大部分国家都在实施GHS标准，各个国家都出台了相应的国家标准来对应GHS标准。
